When the TriggerBox switch is green the delay between the input signal received and the outputs firing is 2µS (0.000002 seconds.)*. ESPER TriggerBox guarantees reliable and absolute triggering precision over a USB connection.
*Note that the shutter lag of most DSLR’s ranges from 0.04 to 0.150 seconds.
The TriggerBox has two modes of operation, When the mode switch is Green the TriggerBox functions as a straight trigger distribution unit and controlled via a remote shutter release. When the mode switch is Blue the TriggerBox can be programmed using the TriggerBoxController software. This allows individual outputs to be delayed, switched off and on and sequenced in up to 8 steps.
The TriggerBox comes bundled with our TriggerBoxController software*, this allows the TriggerBox to be programmed to: fire the TriggerBox outputs over USB, assign delays to outputs, toggle outputs off and on, sequence all output settings, save settings to the TriggerBox for stand alone operation, and multi-camera intervalometer with exposure ramping.
For control of camera settings, downloading images etc. you will need to use a third party software packages such as:
Breeze Systems – Software to control multiple Canon SLRs from a single PC running Windows. Designed for movie special effects such as the “bullet time”, stereo video capture, product shots and other specialist applications requiring multiple cameras. Offers excellent support and is licensed per number of cameras.
Kuvacode CaptureGRID – Multi-camera control software for tethered shooting, remote capture and advanced camera control. Widely used for photogrammetry applications. Supports all recent DSLR cameras from Canon and Nikon, as well as some cameras from the Sony Alpha range and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Annual subscription license per unlimited number of cameras.
Xangle Camera Server – A set of software created to run a complete multi-camera system: connect, control, trigger, calibrate, preview, publish, share. Compatible with most Canon entry-level DSLR’s and runs from a PC running Windows. Different license subscription packages available.
*Compatible with Windows and macOS (pre-Catalina 10.15).

Behind the Scenes of 360 Light Painting by Eric Paré
I’ve built a DIY photogrammetry with a mix Sony full frame and point and shoot cameras, and the TriggerBox does a flawless job in triggering them all simultaneously.
I purchased a TriggerBox and connected five Sony RX0M2 cameras to it, enabling synchronized strobe lighting for bullet-time photography. It worked very well.
Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear you are able to sync your strobe lighting and cameras together.

Very fast and easy to install
The intertnational shipping was so fast that I could receive it in just a few days. The CS people are really kind and nice. The Box is really easy to install and works well.
Hi,
Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear that our TriggerBox was easy to install and get up and running and your experience has been flawless with Esper.
Thank you!

Opens up a world of possibilities
I’ve been using the TrigerBoxes for a couple of weeks now with a 75 camera setup and I can say they exceed my expectations. Very easy to set up and work with. I haven’t even used the Smart Trigger mode yet which will probably stoke me out even more. A lot of bang for your buck!
Hi Lars,
Thank you so much for your review. We are really pleased that the TriggerBox is working beyond your expectations and can't wait to see what you produce!
Thanks,
Luke
A:Hi Luke! In order to download images from the cameras, you will need a third-party software such as Breeze Multi-cam, CaptureGrid by Kuvacode or Xangle and all the cameras will need to be connected via USB to the PC.
Thanks!

Q:Hi, I bought a trigger box, but unfortunately, after testing, we found that the trigger box can only trigger the camera to take videos; it is not successful for image triggering. The model of my camera is Lumix DMC-G7W. I asked whether the trigger box was valid for my camera before purchasing. The answer is YES. Do we have any solutions for this problem?

A:Hello! The TriggerBox works on a contact-closure method of triggering. The TriggerBox isn't and doesn't need to be configured in any way to support video or stills triggering. As long as the camera supports both, the TriggerBox can handle the synchronisation. In this case, please ensure that all the camera settings are set correctly when you are wanting to capture still images rather than video. If the cameras are set to video mode, then the TriggerBox will start video capture rather than still images.
Any further problems please get in touch!

Q:3 questions; 1) Is bundle for Sony - A7iii also compatible with Sony A7Riv ? I am planning to buy this bundle. 2) How about the software? I couldn't find any information about it. After wiring up all cameras as a set how to connect it to PC and how to manage the setting (data saving, shutter time etc.) 3) How long approx. would it take for Hamburg ? Cheers

A:Hi Omer, 1) Yes, all the cabling for the A7 III & A7R IV is the same but we can raise an invoice for you to ensure that all the correct cables are packed for your chosen camera. 2) Our TriggerBox doesn't handle downloading of any images or the camera settings. The TriggerBox has its own software but this is to control the triggering or the triggering delays. You will need third-party software to control the camera settings and download the images. 3) Shipping to Hamburg should usually take around 1-2 business days once all parts are in stock and ready to ship.

Q:Hello, I want to buy an ESPER triggerbox for Panasonic cameras, the model is Lumix DMC-G7W, but have some questions: 1. Does the software provide a function to take a pre-defined number of images? for example, I input the number '30', the triggerbox takes 30 images, and then the camera stops shooting. Or I can use the camera's built-in 'Time lapse/Animation' function to set the number of images I want to take, but after finishing shooting, the camera asks me whether I'd like to create a video for the images. I have to manually select one of the options (Yes or No). If I use an ESPER trigger box, can I select the option via the software instead of the camera? 2. For the third part software, do you know if any of them supports the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7W model. I want to transfer images via the software instead of using an SD card every time. Thank you very much. Look forward to hearing from you.

A:Hi Shangpeng,
Yes, you can set the number of shots the TriggerBox takes within the TriggerBoxController software. Our TriggerBox software won't download the images. For this, you will need a third-party software such as CaptureGrid. Please contact us if you have any further questions!

Q:Do you have a 3.5mm shutter release button that works best with this other than a computerised triggering option?
We’re trying to figure a system where that works as the back up when the computers may slow down systems and triggering.
Also, this device is compatible with multiple camera brands and models?

A:Hi! Yes, any wired remote that has a 3.5mm jack connection is compatible with the TriggerBox. We typically recommend the Pixel RC-208 as it has a detachable cable so you are able to connect any cable. The TriggerBox is compatible with any camera model that has a remote shutter release connection and supports remote triggering.
Nick – The best way to trigger multiple camera arrays. At the same time or with programable offsets. For bullet time, time slice, photogrammetry, photo booths.
